Your questions, answered.

1How is Vanish Media Systems’ picture in a bright room?
Excellent! Our powerful VAVA 4K projector has 2,500 ANSI lumens and the screen is an Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) screen. The combination of these two powerful components creates an image that is amazingly crisp and bright, even with lots of ambient light.
2What is Dolby Atmos?
Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio are the next generation of immersive surround sound and come standard on all Vanish Media Systems.
3Can I use my own speakers or streaming device?
Our systems are templated for optimum performance and to tightly accommodate the electronics. Using other components pushes us into the realm of customization. It can be done, but requires a conversation. Please call or text (203)-246-2011.
4Where do you ship?
We ship to and service Fairfield County, Westchester County, Manhattan, and Suffolk County. Shipping to other areas requires a conversation. Please call (203) 246-2011.
5Do you need to connect to cable?
No. Our systems stream from the Internet. We only require power, Internet, and WiFi. To get high-quality content, you will need download speeds of 25 Mbps or higher.
6Who is Vanish Media Systems’ typical customer?
Anyone who wants to quickly and dramatically improve their life at home while also enhancing their décor. Our systems allow the owner's favorite room to become capable of another function - that of a state-of-the-art screening room.
7How versatile is a Vanish Media Systems unit?
It can be used to watch movies, TV, sporting events, listen to music, conduct Zoom calls, take exercise classes, tour museums around the world, sing karaoke, display art or beautiful scenery, take online classes, look at photos, make presentations, and to stream anything that is on the internet or your personal devices. Aside from its audio-visual capabilities, the attractive benches and window seats can be used for comfortable seating and storage, and the beautiful credenza can be used to display decorative items and for storage. Finally, our systems are able to fill a room with full and rich audio without raising the screen - simply present the sound bar, and then use your phone or other device to send music or other audio content to it.
8What colors and finishes are available?
We are able to customize the finish of all our units to match just about any wood finish or any paint color/sheen. And many other elements of our furniture can be customized as well, including toe-kick or legs, finish, panel style, pull style, and more.
9What is the ideal viewing distance?
Given that our systems produce a sharp 4K image, we suggest about .9 to 1.5 times the screen’s diagonal distance. For our 110” inch screen, that would be roughly 8 feet to 14 feet.
10Could a Vanish Media System product lose its technological edge?
This would be unlikely given that our systems are modular. If a better projector, audio system, screen, or streaming device were to be released, it could be swapped in.
11Can a Vanish Media Systems product be used outdoors?
Vanish Media Systems are state-of-the-art audiovisual systems that are not designed for outdoor use. Only given a perfect set of circumstances, including the brawn to gently relocate the bench and a dry evening with no breeze, would it be possible to temporarily relocate a unit outside for some under-the-stars enjoyment of a movie or a sporting event.
12Do Vanish Media Systems have a warranty?
Yes, we will assure your system operates perfectly for one year post installation. Additionally, the system’s numerous components all carry their own warranties, which range from 1 year to 5 years on electronics, and 10 years on the credenza, bench, or window seat.
13How do Vanish Media Systems impact vision and eye health?
Vanish Media Systems provide welcome relief from the harsh, beaming pixels of smartphones, tablets, desktops, laptops, and televisions. The reflected light on Vanish Media Systems’ screen is akin to seeing a flashlight beam reflected off a wall, as opposed to starting at the beam directly. It is odd that so many choose to relax at the end of the day by looking at the harsh beaming pixels of a television, when that is what they have been staring at all day on their computers and devices. Vanish Media Systems’ image is razor sharp, but it has a soothing, more cinematic quality to it than harsh pixels seen through glass. For more information on the important health benefits of not overdosing on beaming pixels, please read the linked article.
